Covid-19 Advertising Assignments

Here are some basic instructions for how we are going to do the distance learning for this course. This week we are going to ease into it. The activities are broken up into four parts this week. Just go through in the order things are listed.

Beginning next week, I'll be posting assignments for each week that will take a few days to complete. There will be several readings & videos as resources. for the project. If you have other ideas besides the ones I'm posting, please send them to me via email! You guys are always so creative, that I'm sure you will come up with something better than I suggest.

WEEK 1 Activities April 6th - 9th

Consider the current impact of the corona virus on small businesses in the United States.

Choose one of the following assignment options:
Create an ad to introduce a new product for a local small business in light of the current parameters set by the governor of Tennessee (example: take out only, restaurants closed)

Create an ad to promote an industrial good (sold from one business to another business) (What businesses are open that would need industrial goods? What types of goods?)

The corona virus has caused a change in some TV commercials. Research and find examples of commercials discussing the impact of the corona virus. Write an essay describing the commercials. Are the commercials created to remind, inform, or persuade? Do you think they are effective in their purpose? Why or Why not. Essay should be at least one full page. Share it on One Drive or email to me.
