Football State Champions!

ACADEMICS

  • Congratulations to Students of the week: Savanna Onevathana- 10th and Tyreek Horne- 9th
  • Congratulations to the Hoopsters of the week: D.D. Anderson- 11th and Nicole Egeruoh – 10th.
  • Deadline for HOPE Scholarship and TN Promise is Feb. 1
  • Current juniors with a 2.75 GPA or higher with a strong interest in leadership development and community service are encouraged to apply for Youth Leadership Rutherford.  This very competitive program requires a weekend orientation and seven seminar days addressing issues of concern in Rutherford County.  Program cost is $215 which covers meals, transportation and materials. Commitment to complete the program is required if selected.  Applications are available on the OHS website or at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce website.  Completed applications are due to the Chamber of Commerce by Thursday, February 28. See your counselor if you have questions.

 

ACTIVITIES

  • Youth Leadership Applications are available for the 2019-2020 school year. Check with your counselor for more information. Turn in date is February 28th.

 

 FINE ARTS

  • Band will be holding a Mattress Sale on January 26thin the main cafeteria

 

SPORTS

  • Congratulations to the basketball teams for their victories over Blackman girls and boys’ basketball teams
  • Basketball teams will play Siegel High School there on Friday night starting at 6:00 PM.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

  • January 21 – No School – MLK Day
  • January 31 – Early Dismissal Day
  • February 7 – Mid Progress reports
  • February 18 – No School – President’s Day
