Leadership expert Scott Lang has so graciously offered up his Leadership University course for FREE!!  We will be sharing/uploading additional lessons each week.  Please check back often for updates!  This is a great learning and growing tool for us all.  At the end of each lesson is a PDF worksheet and video.  I would suggest instead of printing each worksheet, simply complete each worksheet by writing the answers in a journal or notebook.  You may share any of your work at any time with us.  UPDATE:  PDF worksheets are now Google docs for ease of answering.  This is meant as a learning opportunity for us to grow as individuals and as a program.  Highly recommended!!

J.W. Pepper is a popular publishing company where band directors purchase music.  This is your chance to create and program your own concert!  A few guidelines are below:
  • Choose one ensemble - Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble or a Chamber Group (Woodwind Choir, Brass Choir, etc...)
  • Things to consider - 1) Length of Concert, 2) Level of the Group (you can search J.W. Pepper by difficulty), 3) Style of Concert (Festival, Winter, Spring, Pops, Outdoor, etc....be creative!!)
  • Create a Program - If you have the ability, present your concert as a Concert Program (what would be passed out to the audience)
  • Do not purchase any music.  However, use the J.W. Pepper website as a guide to creating your own program.

We would love to see what you come up with!  Who knows, maybe we'll perform some of these in the future!!
