Science National Honors Society

The purpose of this society shall be to foster excellence in study, the pursuit of knowledge, and the advancement of the world through technology and research. Members of Science National Honor Society will work to promote the acceptance of the ideas of others, and to help their fellow students achieve success in science.
Membership is by invitation only to those high school students who have demonstrated a proficiency in science by maintaining a 3.5 GPA, or better, in high school science coursework undertake prior to induction.
A member must be in the last two years of high school (Junior or Senior), and must be enrolled at least one honors science class prior to the eleventh grade year. A member must be enrolled in at least one, second Honors, AH, AP, or IB level science class during or prior to the twelfth grade year.
It is required by the national bylaws that active student members be enrolled in four years of high school science. Any student who has the opportunity to enroll in four years of science but chooses not to is ineligible for active membership and will be removed from the roll, forfeiting all dues. Students shall subscribe to a Statement of Honor to become full members.
New members and returning members will be required to pay dues prior to November 18th of each school year in the amount of $15. This fee is to offset the cost of enrollment to the National office, certificates, graduation cords, and diploma stickers.
