Our next Beta meeting is 9/24/24!
BETA CLUB WILL CONDUCT MEMBERSHIP DRIVE FOR NEW MEMBERS IN THE FALL OF 2024 beginning on Aug. 6, 2024.
Membership requirements: High School GPA of 3.0, membership application, teacher recommendations, paid membership dues
Requirements to maintain membership: 3.0 GPA and 20 hours of documented service each year...submitted to club sponsors by deadline. New member drive takes place in Aug-Sept of each school year.

You may pay your fees by check or cash (exact amount).
Applications must be turned in to Ms. Holder in C8 or Ms. Colvard E5 IN AN ENVELOPE WITH YOUR NAME AND GRADE LEVEL.
YOU MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF THE MOST RECENT REPORT CARD WITH YOUR APPLICATION. Not mid-progress reports.
SERVICE LOG (below). Members must print and submit by deadline. Service hours for 2024-2025 will be required. Service hour requirements must occur during the current school year (no summer hours accepted). All information for service hours (including the required hours) will be given out to members in September. All current members must have submitted service hours for each year you were a member.
Beta dues: $45 if new to Beta, $10 if returning members. New members can pay online on the OHS website.
Beta state convention:If you are wanting to compete this year contact Mrs. Holder or Ms. Colvard. You must participate in Cullen's campaign. If you are not going to put in the hard work it takes to possibly place in your category, we ask that you not attend the conference.

HOMECOMING has been rescheduled for September 27. We will have the festival, but it is unknown about the parade. Members who brought in candy/drinks will still receive their 1 hour service credit. Please have your name on the drinks and put it in room E5. Here is a list of other service credits you can earn during homecoming.
1 cooler - 1 service hour
1 large bag of ice or 2 small bags- 1 service hour
1 case of drinks (24) - 1 service hour
large bag of candy- 1 hour per package
Help set up at 7:30am - 1 service hour
If you want to participate in the homecoming parade, you must bring candy. We will walk to JPE and OMS. We will only have 15 Beta members for the parade. The first 15 people to bring in candy and sign up get to go.
Beta Club qualifies for Nationals! Last weekend a few of our members went to the Beta Leadership Conference in Gatlinburg. They presented our service project of helping the local homeless. Nationals will be held in June in Savannah, Georgia.
