Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society
Overview:
Mu Alpha Theta promotes excellence in mathematics through enrichment activities, competitions, and academic recognition.
Mu Alpha Theta, which partners with professional mathematics organizations, including the Mathematical Association of America, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges, is a non-secret organization whose purpose is the promotion of scholarship in, and enjoyment and understanding of, mathematics among high school and two-year college students.

Important Info for current members:
All members must tutor 10 sessions per a year to receive a cord for graduation.
Rules for tutoring
1. All eligible tutoring sessions must be completed in a math teacher's classroom at OHS
2. All eligible tutoring sessions must be approved by Mrs. Schenck OR the student's math teacher. Mrs. Schenck may contact the math teacher of the tutee for verification
3. Tutoring sessions must be tracked via the excel spreadsheet sent out my Mrs. Schenck.
