Overview:
DECA is a nationally recognized high school career and technical student organization that prepares students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and entrepreneurship. It extends classroom learning by providing hands-on, real-world business experiences that build critical skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making. Through competitive events like role-plays, case studies, and business plan presentations, students apply academic knowledge to realistic workplace scenarios.
In addition to competition, DECA emphasizes leadership development and career readiness. Members have opportunities to serve as officers, attend leadership conferences, network with business professionals, and explore college and career pathways.
