For the second consecutive year, the Oakland High School FFA Chapter has officially been named the top FFA chapter in Middle Tennessee, earning the coveted 2026 Regional Points Cup at the Middle Tennessee FFA Banquet.

The Regional Points Cup is the highest honor a chapter can achieve and is awarded based on cumulative success in FFA career and leadership development events, supervised agricultural experience programs, agriscience fair research, community service, and student participation in leadership opportunities such as conferences and conventions.

This dual recognition affirms Oakland FFA’s position as the region’s premier chapter, reflecting a commitment to leadership, personal growth, and career success, all at the core of the National FFA Mission.

“Winning the Points Cup is a moment our chapter will never forget,” said chapter President Emma Millican. “This accomplishment represents the hard work, dedication, and passion of so many students who have poured their time and energy into making our chapter successful. I’m incredibly proud of what our members have achieved together and excited to see Oakland FFA continue growing in the future.”

The chapter earned numerous Regional Championship titles in Employment Skills, Extemperaneous Speaking, Floriculture, Agriscience Integrated Systems Proficiency, Forage Production Proficiency, ASF Animal Systems Division V, ASF Animal Systems Division VI, ASF Environmental Systems Division V, ASF Food Products and Processing Division V, ASF Plant Systems Division IV, ASF Plant Systems Division V, ASF Plant Systems Division VI, ASF Social Systems Division III, ASF Social Systems Division V and ASF Social Systems Division VI.

Oakland FFA also had Regional Runners Up finishes in Agriculture, Bull Pen, ASF Food Products and Processing Division III, Horse Evaluation, Parliamentary Procedure, and Vet Science.

Additionally, Emma Millican retired from her year of service as the Middle Tennessee Regional Sentinel and was named Star in Agriscience.

In addition to Millican, the 2025-2026 Oakland FFA officer team included Vice President Abby DeBerry, Secretary Annabelle Alexis, Treasurer Mary Redmon, Reporter Kennedy Lewis, Sentinel Sophie Markos, Student Advisor Sarah Wheaton and Committee Chairs Brylee Rogers, Lila Wells and Sam Johnson.

The Oakland FFA program is supported by dedicated agricultural educators and FFA advisors Caitlin LaLiberte, Dr. James Scott, Gina Stewart, Bridget Vaughn and Sam Luker.

“Our members continue to embody premier leadership, personal growth, and career success both in and out of the classroom. We are thankful for the unwavering support from Oakland High School, Rutherford County Schools, our alumni, and our community as we continue growing agricultural education opportunities for students,” educators and advisors said.
