MIDTERM EXAM INFORMATION:
The Midterm Exam is required for all students. The exam will contain 3 extracts (approximately 18 lines each) from the IB Syllabus for Vergil's Aeneid (12.614-952). Each extract will contain 5 questions on reading comprehension, interpretation, author's style, scansion, and translation. Students will not be permitted to use any notes or dictionary on this exam. It is advised that students review the line notes found in the texts by Colakis, LaFluer, and Boyd. The test itself is worth 80% of the midterm grade.

MIDTERM PROJECT:
All students are required to make a handwritten summary of Vergil's Aeneid Books 1-12. The summary should be broken down by books (chapters) and bullet points are suggested for all of the main events for each book. Since the IB Syllabus focuses on the end of Book 12, extra details should be presented for this section. Projects will be assessed on their organization, neatness, and thoroughness of details of events and characters. The project is worth 20% of the midterm grade.
